Co Longford is one of the counties in Ireland, approximately 1h e 30 minutes drive from Dublin. It takes the name from Longford, which is the main town. Our drive took almost two hours and took us to a place called Aughnacliffe, which where Paul Kennedy lives.
Paul is a drifter. He regularly competes in the Irish Drifting Championship and is supported by ZEETEX . He welcomes us at Mckeon’s Garage, which is where his car is parked during the off-season.
We asked Paul how he and ZEETEX started working together.
“This is the fourth year I have been supported by ZEETEX – started Paul. In 2014 I was competing at the Global Warfare with a very underpowered car. I was lucky enough to have a good run. I qualified in second position, which was very surprising for such an underpowered car. The video of that run went viral and had more than 100,000 views. With those numbers I was able to approach ZEETEX and we started working together”.
Paul was also very keen on highlighting the benefits of running ZEETEX tyres
“I run HP 1000 tyres – he continued. They are really good tyres. I tried a couple of high-end brands and I wasn’t happy with them. When the tyres got hot the tyre would start peeling off. This doesn’t happen with ZEETEX tyres. Also with standard tyre you might get 4-6 laps, while with ZEETEX tyres you might get up to 10 laps”.
